Current state of the industry:
In 2008-2010 the average level of consumption of mutton in Russia was less than 1 kg per year per person, today it is 1, 4 — 1, 5 kg per year per person.
Thus, the annual growth rate of consumption of mutton in Russia in 5 years is 10%.
The expert community is convinced that in the future the demand for lamb and other sheep products (wool, hides) in Russia will continue to grow.
The demand for lamb forms the thrust of the consumer to healthy eating. So, cholesterol in mutton fat in 2, 5 times less than in beef, and 4 times less, than in pork.
The aim of the project:
-Over 5 years to create a sheep enterprise with the main herd of 5,000 head of breeding flocks (ewes) Romanov breed of sheep.
-To build and put into operation 5 batoche (complexes sheep farm with the necessary infrastructure).
-In 2016 to open in the city of Kostroma store for meat sales to the population, to ensure the distribution of meat in retail food chains in Kostroma.
-By 2020, to fully explore the direction of the meat with the production capacity up to 1 ton of lamb a day.
