Project description

Summary

The aim of the project – the creation of a fishing company for fishing for tuna and toothfish in the Uruguay-Argentine subzone, international waters of the Atlantic ocean and Antarctica.

The essence of the project

Project participants have a perpetual license for the catch of toothfish and the ability to obtain quotas for tuna in these zones. For the organization of business requires the acquisition and preparation for the operation of vessels with simultaneous registration of licenses for the fisheries sector. The possibility of obtaining in Uruguay mining rights of these two species enables companies to build long-term growing business.

The project initiator has the following quotas:

— toothfish – up to 1 000 tonnes per year. In connection with the presence of 1 license quota is 1 the ship;

— tuna: bigeye – 3100 tons per year, albacore – 450 tons per year, yellowfin, without limits, swordfish (extracted together with tuna) – 1275 tons per year. Quotas for 4-6 courts, the average production volume of 1 ship of about 1,000 tons per year.

Provided timely funding, it is estimated that total sales of toothfish must be at least 300 tonnes per year (8 of 115 thousand dollars.) tuna – not less than 700 tons per year to 1 ship (revenue – 7 000 thousand us$),

The finished products will be sold into foreign markets: USA, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, Europe. The main way of realization of finished products will be sold via auction at the fish auctions. Products will be shipped to buyers from aboard.

It is planned to implement the following types of products (showing the current average market price):

— tuna, carcass without head and tail – 10 000-13 000 dollars./t;

— toothfish, carcass without head and tail – 28 000-31 500 USD./t;

— toothfish, Pargolovo – 12 500 USD./t;

— toothfish cheeks – 9 $ 500.t.

The duration of the project (from making a decision about investing until the first exit in the sea):

— to catch toothfish – about 1 year (subject to the most rapid completion of all stages it is possible to reduce up to 8 months);

for tuna – 8 months (assuming the most rapid completion of all stages it is possible to reduce term to 6 months).
