Leo's Nest Park

Project description

City for the children — educational theme park. A place where kids will be citizens, with the freedom of choice to participate in hands-on activities by trying different professions, manage play money, trade, govern, and be masters of their own city.

The concept of the park is built on child psychology points: to be independent, emulate adults’ behavior and activities, achieve something, and be rewarded for this, while having fun and playing. Kids will have an opportunity to develop a better grip on the idea of saving for the purpose of better money utilization. In the recent years demand for more engaging entertainment for children has been on a rise. In US entertainment industry mostly offers passive activities (movies, rides, games). Our park will close this gap in this geographical location. The company will also utilize a unique price system. The customer will only be charged for the time they spend in our facility which will attract customers with wide economic backgrounds.

Market analytics

Theme Park industry revenue tends to grow to $18.9B in 2022. Similar theme parks exist worldwide and are currently the most profitable theme parks within the industry. These parks were successful and rapidly reached 500K visitors. No such parks exist in US. Due to the uniqueness of park concept, flexible pricing, year-round operation, geographical location, we anticipate the number of visitors in year 1 will be 140K and 350K in year 3. Primary customers are kids from 4 to 15. Park will not be in direct competition with large industry companies (Disney, Universal, etc) due to concept of the park and location. Primary competitors are local movie theaters, regional theme parks, etc. But, they don’t provide similar customer engagement concept.

Sales strategy and marketing

Leo’s Nest Park plans an aggressive advertising campaign to inform and attract a sustaining customer base. A sufficient number of customers is targeted to achieve one of our main strategic objectives to reach 500, 000 visitors per year at the end of third year of operations. Initially, founders plan to allocate $150K to the advertising campaign. Furthermore, once operational, the company will allocate $10K per month towards advertising and marketing efforts. The company will utilize four main components for its advertising efforts: internet, billboards, soliciting group attendance from school, kindergartens, daycares and mass mail distribution.

The company’s management team anticipates that the majority of the customer base will be located within a 1.5 hour drive from our facility. As such, billboard advertising will focus on the following metropolitan areas: Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia. The company will rent billboards in these metropolitan areas for one year starting with three months prior to the opening of the Park. After that, the company will alternate ads between billboards in the metropolitan areas to stay within an advertising budget.

The majority of the advertising budget will be allocated to internet advertising and billboards. Internet advertising will be used to reach specific audiences within the targeted geographical area at a low cost. Facebook and Google Ad web platforms will be heavily utilized for internet advertising. The campaigns will be targeted toward the primary customer base: families with children 3-14 years old. To make internet advertising campaigns as effective as possible, the company plans to employ the services of a reputable and reliable firm that specializes in targeted internet advertising.
