LARIKU sport mobile application

‘LARIKU’ is a sport (walking and running) mobile application that can be easily accessed by Android or iPhone users to monitor distance, duration, speed, pace, steps and calories burned during exercise. We develop the mobile application to cater the needs and life style for all ages, from teenager, young and medium adult and senior age community. Content of the mobile application itself can be used by people to measure their pace, steps, calories burned, invite friends, build communities, creating events (virtual run and walk competition, managed by Lariku), peer to peer challenges (virtual run and walk challenge, managed by users) and health news. This application is a good place for companies to promote their products in the ad space (Lariku application home page) or sponsoring the event.

Ideally this application should be used by people to manage and improve their health, encourage them to keep exercising which at the end will improve the community health.

The competitor are :

Strava, Nike run, Endomondo and other virtual run mobile application

But we are independent, not attach to any product and can be customized as partner/sponsor wishes to promote their company brand.

Additional information

Currently we are in the final testing stage and already release in playstore/appstore named LARIKU. We are planning to have big launch upon application successfully tested. The success of Lariku is firtly depending on number of downloaders, therefore the strategy to promote Lariku are :

  • Introduce Lariku to running communities (there are hundreds running communities in Indonesia)
  • Promote Lariku via running influencer
  • Promote Lariku in several companies’ website, who has more than 1 million members
  • Promote Lariku through social media
  • Promote Lariku in the running events/competitions

Lerning from above communication plan, we convince to have 2.5mio downloaders in five years with the following progress :

Year 1: 200k users

Year 2: 500k users

Year 3: 1mio users

Year 4: 1.5 mio users

Year 5: 2.5 mio users

We believe we can achieve the above number of users as the shareholder is active runner and have good relationship with several running communities

The uniqueness of the project

Currently running and walking communities and events are happening in Indonesia since 2-3 years ago. Today we can find a lot of running communities developed, running competition and events holding in several cities and many runners participate in most popular events.

Running communities are always using running application to measure their performance, health improvement and challenge between community members, therefore we develop this mobile application to cater the needs.

On the other side, company can promote their brand or sell their products by placing their advertisement or sponsor Lariku event.

In the long term, we aim Lariku mobile application can be used as National Health Program by government which at the end will benefit the national health program insurance.

Monetization sources

  1. Advertising space in Lariku homepage — company can promote their ad in Lariku homepage as user landing page before they start running or walking exercise. The space can be offered tohealthy and energy drink producer, sport apparel and sport facilities product, sport facilities membership, hospital/clinics, bank and insurance, telecommunication company andairline company.
  2. Company sponsorship to Lariku event — there are many companies as Lariku target market for sponsorship, like healthy and energy drink, hospital/clinics, bank and insurance and many other companies related to sport. Lariku event can be formed in several themes.
  3. ‘White label’ Lariku — offer Lariku application to be branded and used corporate for their employees or customers (as part of customer loyalty campaign)
  4. Tie up with running event organizer — collaboration with well-known race management like: Idea-run, runner.id, mesa race and other race managements
  5. Enter to government as national health program – collaboration with government health institution like health department, BPJS and other institutions.

To successfully promote Lariku to the market and to keep user using Lariku, event and activities have to be performed regularly and we are planning to have the following activities:

  1. Pre-launch event: talk show that should be done a month prior to the launch with the following themes:Healthy lifestyle, How to run correctly, Benefit of walking

2. Launch event: Fun run and running coaching, Fun run and health expert, Virtual run

3. Monthly Lariku event – thematic virtual run event, like Ramadhan walking and easy running, Charity virtual run and walk, Independence virtual run, Earth save virtual run, Eco tourism virtual run and others

Promotion Plan

To encourage new user to download and frequently access Lariku, we are planning to have special promotion program, like:

  • Airline reward points or vouchers (online fintech or telecommunication) for new downloaders
  • Medal and prizes to the Lariku event winners
  • Member Get Member program
  • Free or discounted products to the loyal users
