The purpose of this investment akvaproekt is growing in the industrial volumes of tropical sand sea cucumber Scabra, and the restoration of its populations in areas of natural habitat, namely along the coastline of Madagascar from the Mozambique channel. Currently, the market of high-quality and highly liquid trepang, which includes the sandy sea cucumber Scabra and far Eastern sea cucumber Japonicus filled only by 25-27%. The prospect of increasing production in the countries of South-East Asia is extremely doubtful due to unfavourable environmental conditions and catastrophic loss of juveniles at the existing farms of China and South Korea. A permanent dynamics of growth of prices and demand on the sandy tropical sea cucumber Scabra suggests that this investment should turn into profitable business with the prospect of development of biomedical technologies and the restoration of populations of echinoderms on the island of Madagascar.

The project consists of three main stages. In the first phase, after obtaining permits can be arranged coastal engineering infrastructure and construction of spawning complex, administrative buildings, processing plant etc. During construction in the Bay area creates delevo-cage system for rearing viable juvenile fish of the sea cucumber purchased from existing Madagascar triangular farms. This approach allows: 1. To create (grow) the brood stock of sea cucumber for the organization of spawning after commissioning of spawning complex. 2. To begin initial implementation of the finished product. The second step is the commissioning of the spawning capacity of 15 million pieces per year, viability of young sea cucumber and associated increase in delevo-cage farms in the Bay area. Conducted testing of technology spawning and the optimization of the process of rearing of the sea cucumber in the natural environment and its processing.

In the third stage of creation of the international research centre for aquaculture and biomedical technologies. To implement this phase of the project is the construction of the science campus and the equipment of its laboratories, with the involvement and cooperation with leading world scientific centers in the field of marine aquaculture development. The main objectives of cooperation are: joint study of aquatic organisms with the goal of creating biomedical concepts and the production of components for Biomedicine and cosmetology.

At all stages of implementation of this project will involve leading scientists in the field of aquaculture development in General, and the cultivation of sea cucumber in particular. The construction of infrastructure and construction facilities will be implemented by Russian specialists. The timing of the implementation of the first two phases and reaching the project capacity is scheduled in 48 months from the date of commencement of funding. At the end of this period, the volume of finished products in the form of marketable dried sea cucumber shall be not less than 600 tons. At current prices today 220-270 dollars, gross revenue will be from 132 million to 162 million US dollars. It should be noted that these financial indicators are based on the conservative scenario of development of the business. The necessary amount of investment capital for this project is 34 million U.S. dollars.
