Tourism in Saint Petersburg
The Russian government is investing in promoting tourism to Russia worldwide and the local government has also started projects for promoting Saint Petersburg worldwide with "Visit Petersburg" offices and partcipating on B2B exhibitions all over the world.
Visa free tourism
Since this year it has become easier for 54 countries to visit Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast without a regular visa. The expectation is that tourism to the region will increase large.
Our company
Our company is focussing on foreign tourists. Travel trends are showing that tourists prefer a more authentic experience and that they are willing to pay extra for that.
Our company is providing services for tourists, touroperators, hotels and other companies related to tourism with the main focus on transport and excursions in Russian vehicles.
Current status of the company
We have a offce in Saint Petersburg and we are ready to start selling.
We are working on a new website with information for tourists and (potential) partners.
At this moment we have a VAZ (Lada) 2103, a GAZ 24 (volga) and we are restoring a complete 21 GAZ (Volga) that will be ready end of the month.
Partners
We are contacting travelagencies and touroperators/agents all over the world at this moment, incoming touroperators in Russia and hotels and conciergeservices in Saint Petersburg.
Expand
One of the frequently asked questions is when we will have our minivans for small groups. The next step is to expand our fleet with a few UAZ's Bukhanka'to provide transport for minigroups.
Why invest now?
It's always difficult to decide when to start a business in tourism. If you start before the highseason you missed the sales season but when you start before the sales season you have some months till the tourist season starts.
We decided that we don't want to miss the sales season and started our business in the winter months.
Why invest in our company?
With a wide experience in touroperating and transport we discovered that there is almost no competition in authentic tours and transport. The few companies that are active in Saint Petersburg are not working together with foreign companies and beside their website almost not promoting themself.
Because we are working with the Russian cars, which we own, we have full control over the cars and quality. Beside that, the money stay in Russia and is not going to foreign companies such as Volkswagen, Mercedes or Toyota.
What do we use your money for?
The money is being used to expand our fleet and to modify some cars.
What are our targets for the next year?
We want our business to grow to 20 Russian cars in the next year.
Contracts with most touroperators specialised in tours to Russia.
On the long term.
Further growing is not a target on the long term. However we want to be able to provide services for all group sizes and for that on the long term it will also be necessary to expand our fleet with tourist busses for up to 50 people.
